Barry is a native of Palmerston North, was admitted to the Bar in 1978 and has been a Principal at the firm since 1984.

Now based in the firm’s Feilding Office, Barry is a trusted advisor for a wide range of rural, commercial and private clients.

Barry’s particular interest is Estate and Succession Planning, working closely with farming clients and other professionals to create workable and resilient plans.  Much of his work involves rural property, buying, selling, syndicating and leasing of farms and orchards and advising clients on how to protect their assets for future generations.

Barry also provides legal advice for some of the firm’s large commercial and business clients.

Barry is a past convenor of the Law Society Standards Committee (Manawatu Branch) and actively contributes as honorary solicitor for a number of charitable and sporting organisations in the Manawatu Region.  He is a former board member of the Manawatu Rugby Union and is currently a board member of Marist Sports Palmerston North.
